Terms of Service
Last updated: July 24, 2026
These terms apply to the use of Vessia, the online vessel administration by Digitura. By creating an account you agree to them.
01About Vessia and these terms
Vessia is an online administration for inland shipping and a product of Digitura (Dutch Chamber of Commerce 96508647). These terms apply to every use of Vessia through app.vessia.app.
Vessia is intended for business use by skippers and the people they give access to.
02Your account
For your account the following applies:
- You make sure your details are correct and keep your credentials secret. Preferably secure your account with a passkey or two-factor authentication.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- When you invite others to your vessel, you decide their role and access.
03Trial period and subscription
The trial and subscription work as follows:
- You try Vessia free for 30 days, without payment details. The trial starts with your first vessel and applies once per account.
- After that, Vessia works with a monthly subscription at the price on the website, excluding VAT, with unlimited vessels. Payment runs through Stripe.
- Price changes are announced at least 30 days in advance. If you do not want to continue, you can cancel before the new price takes effect.
04Cancellation and non-payment
You can cancel monthly from within the app; your subscription then runs until the end of the paid period. Without an active subscription, for example after your trial or after a failed payment, your account becomes read-only: you can keep viewing and exporting everything, but you cannot add or change anything. We do not delete your data automatically.
05Fair use
You do not use Vessia to:
- Break the law or infringe the rights of others.
- Send spam or unsolicited email through the email feature.
- Circumvent security or put excessive automated load on the service.
In case of abuse we may restrict features or terminate the account. Where reasonable, we warn first.
06Your administration and documents
Everything you record in Vessia remains yours. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for the documents and invoices you create and send with Vessia; check them before sending.
Vessia is a tool for your administration and does not provide accounting, tax or legal advice.
07Sending email through Vessia
You can email invoices and documents directly from Vessia, from the default address or from your own verified sender. You are responsible for the content and the recipients of what you send. Vessia keeps a delivery record of every sent message with the vessel.
08Availability and maintenance
We do our best to keep Vessia available, fast and secure and we make regular backups. We cannot guarantee complete, uninterrupted availability. Where possible we plan maintenance outside busy hours, and we may improve and change the service.
09Liability
Vessia is provided as is. Our liability is limited to direct damages and to at most the amount you paid for Vessia in the twelve months before the event.
We are not liable for indirect damages, such as lost revenue or damage caused by incorrect input. These limitations do not apply in case of intent or wilful recklessness on our part.
10Termination and your data
You can delete your account yourself at any time; export your data first if you want to keep it. We may terminate the agreement in case of serious or repeated abuse or prolonged non-payment. If Vessia is discontinued as a service, we will announce this at least three months in advance so you can export your data. Legal retention obligations always remain in force.
11Intellectual property
The software, brand and design of Vessia belong to Digitura. You receive a right of use for as long as you have an account. Your data and documents remain yours.
12Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. Important changes are announced at least 30 days in advance by email or in the app. If you do not agree, you can cancel before the change takes effect.
13Governing law
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes are submitted to the competent Dutch court.
